Lin Mao has been very careful and thorough to hide his tracks. It abhors me to have to play his game on his terms, but right now it looks like we have little alternative but to do just that.
I'll keep the PIT crew searching the webverse for any sign of Lin Mao making an appearance. I know IT will aid in tracking down his signal if he shows up. If he so much as pokes his head out of his cubby hole, I want to bring the house crashing down on it.
Vi, keep Security at high alert. If any of your agents even get a bad feeling or sense something's not right, look into it and treat it as a dangerous scenario. The safety of our employees at the Solvall is our number one priority right now.
As for Arcane....if Lin Mao starts throwing demons at us or sending messages in tongues, we'll be sure to consult your expertise.
Everyone stay sharp, and stay safe.

I already have our tac team standing by, but since they're not Bees, deployment's going to be an issue. I'll also have any available agents on the look out, though, and will be assigning them to any investigative assets we have on the case. This includes you, Carl. Any specific requests?
A suggestion for Arcane. Saki's been using tarot as a resource for tracking this guy down. I'm not sure how much overlap this has with Arcane, but maybe we can follow a similar vein with our magical assets. I know Ammie's used demons and such before in locating people and equipment. Synthetic Filth sounds like something that might pop up on their radar as weird enough to be of note.
If anyone finds anything out of the ordinary, alert the Hub and/or contact me directly. I'd rather have a dozen false alarms than let anybody slip through the cracks.
Ciao, Vi

To: Victoria Vega From: Carl Weaver CC: Teresa Auerbach, Annabelle Winston-Smith, Amaryllis Wicker Subject: Re: RE: More problems I usually prefer to work alone, but current circumstances do seem to make that an non-option. I have no preferences on the Investigative/Security pairings. Make the assignments as you deem fit. Also, a collaborative website has been created specifically for tracking down Lin Mao: www.tsw-rp.com/forum/page/1/m/5359865/viewthread/8655862-deepnet-fixfixer-dies-now Much of this case is starting to revolve around a Samuel Niedermeir, a name that was referenced in a barcode that was sent to several phones (including my personal one). The message implied that Niedermeir has past associations with Lin Mao, and also mentioned that "whoever finds him first will decide how this all ends." I think it's Mao's intention to turn things into a race between the factions rather than a collaborative effort. All Investigative assets are encouraged to not jump the gun in an attempt to be "first to the prize." One errant move by anyone could undo everything that's been gained so far in tracking down Mao and Niedermeir. -Carl

I'm getting some heat from the people above me already for putting this up on Twitter, but since we're dealing with computer stuff, it made since to mention the below. References to "Samuel Niedermeyer" showing up as if by magic on people's devices triggered a memory of an article I read once. I dug up a reference to the name online, here: snackbox.org/~snacky/mn.htmlI always get twitchy when I hear the name "Samuel". I'm sure you know why. And this name just screamed "pseudonym" to me. Maybe there's a connection, maybe not. But just in case these post codes start showing up, you'll have them from the start. FWIW

After a lengthy meeting with Vi and Saki Ammie and myself have been brought up to speed and are ready to assist in the effort - I will be going with Vi to speak with Mr. Scarabae and see if we can get a bit more information from the Council. In the meantime Carl, if you could talk to who ever you brought the bomb that had been delivered to you and tell them to get it to ESI i want out Anima-tech people to see if they can figure out how it works, if it works, ect.
NOTICE TO ESI PERSONEL - this is a suspected anima effecting biological agent, possibly a gas - please be very very very careful. <3

Just to clarify, the package I got was not a bomb. There were no explosives, just a cocaine and filth. As far as I know the only one of Lin Mao's bombs anyone has was the one defused at Lilith's party, and that's now in possession of the Council of Venice.
As for the cocaine and the filth, current hypothesis is that while the bombs may provide the "shock and awe" for Lin Mao, it's the illegal drugs laced with filth that are the real way he's going to spread this "disease."
Everyone stay alert and stay safe.

Got a hot tip from a reliable source last night, confirmed it earlier today. A mass strike against FixFixer is organizing tomorrow at the Albion at 4 PM Eastern Daylight Time. While we do still have Lin Mao to worry about (and I'm convinced now that these are two separate cases rather than a mass conspiracy), this an opportunity to take a major threat off our radar screen.
And after Fixer exposed my girlfriend's daughter to filth and cocaine, you better believe I'm going in on this. Pass the word around, anyone who wants to come along is more than welcome to join me.
-Carl
((Those who are interested in being a part of this should DM @fixfixer and @doctor_Iksian on Twitter so they can get some idea of our numbers for organizing the event tomorrow. Anyone not on Twitter who'd like to join in, post here and I'll pass it along to them for you.))

Carl's Secretary, Miss Willmore, comes to her desk to start her day. To her curiousity, there's an interoffice mail envelope on her desk. She opens it to find the Lin Mao case files and a short scribbled message on a Post-It note. I can't focus on work. I can't focus on writing. I just need to get away for a while. Someone else can deal with L.M. -C.W.((Right, my real life vacation starts next week, so I needed a way to free up Carl and keep him off-screen for a couple of weeks. ))
