Pity re: Aldini. I take it he's as incomprehensible as ever? The only other thought I have is that that lamp in the foreground may somehow be of significance, but it doesn't feel right. Shaky logic, I know. Either way, I couldn't find a match for it on google.
Manticore operations are a dime a dozen, but ones we can look at? Perhaps remote access via any of the despoiled Orochi camps we've left in our wake. I'm inclined to favor the Egyptian ones, oddly enough. I'd still like to find the speaker from the transmission, if possible. It's been three months since the broadcast, though, we have to keep an opening about all the horrible fatesat have likely befallen him or her by this time.

It's been a busy day, and I'm working late tonight. Haven't been able to focus on this new "thing" as much as I'd like between running the department and researching my current primary case. But here are some thoughts:
As far as I know the original transmission still plays every hour on the hour on RFG. It might be worth trying to catch it again to refresh the memories.
There may be artificacts that predate the 18th Dynasty, but I have the feeling that the 18th Dynasty artifacts may have some special attribute which the Orochi (or someone else?) may be looking for specifically. Putting on my historian cap for a bit, the 18th Dynasty did see some of Egypt's most-well known Pharaohs. Besides Ahkenhaten, the Dynasty saw the reign of Hatshepsut, one of the earliest female leaders in recorded history, as well as the famous boy king, Tutankhamen. It was of course after Tut's tomb was opened by the Howard Carter Expedition that the "Curse of the Pharoahs" was supposedly unleashed....caused by the artifacts in Tut's Tomb, perhaps?
As far as Orochi's Manticore operations, the only location I can confirm they're operating in is Fusang; and I doubt the Templars or Dragons will stop shooting us long enough to be able to do any investigating there. It sounds like their bases of operations have been gone through thoroughly in Egypt. Has anyone managed to find leftover computers or tablets from the Orochi operations there?
More field reports to go through, now. Will e-mail if I have anymore brainstorms.

To: Investigations, Shay From: Tess In a meeting with Ammie she brought up that the TARDIS from Dr. Who is from a series called TT40. Whoever is behind this project is, as Chassi puts it some kind of "Sci Fi Wanker" Probably just a naming convention, but it's a link to your Google search. ~Tess

To: Investigations Department, Seanne From: Mila Subject: RFG Transmission I'm hating myself right now. Someone was kind enough to remind me that the Orochi homepage has an employee finder -- that lets you search by project name. orochigroup.net/?action=efinderSearch for Thinis, of course. None of the numbers seem particularly relevant, again, but I'll put them up here just in case we run across a match. 2906 1453767525 32089 2907 53132697 - M

To: Investigations Department, Seanne From: Mila CC: Ken Subject: RFG Transmission Our newest hire seems to have come through. Ken ventured a guess that the image in the twitter account may be an incense burner. A quick check on eBay discovered something remarkably similar looking: cyberincense.com/ebay_images/burners/bb114bz/bb114_both.jpg- M

To: Investigations Department, Seanne From: Mila CC: Ken Subject: RFG Transmission Just an FYI, mostly for Carl. Carl? I'm going to be a tad wrapped up in another, less apocalyptic project for a while, so you're officially in charge. Note that this doesn't in any way improve your pay or office placement. As a parting gift, some reading material: books.google.com/books?id=Vj7A9jJrZP0C&pg=PA459&lpg=PA459&dq=pistacia+resin&source=bl&ots=zs2_qhzBDx&sig=lXlm68XhR2H1-_fjxXL2GtYyIJQ&hl=en&sa=X&ei=8Cw4UZHBG6yI2gXhvIDIBg&ved=0CGMQ6AEwCQ#v=onepage&q=pistacia%20resin&f=falseIn short, it seems that that the New Kingdom Egyptians embalmed their mummies at least partially with the same stuff they put in their incense burners. If that really is an incense burner in Aldini's office, perhaps there's some manner of sympathetic link being exploited? I really don't know quite enough about magic to say. It does seem a tad tenuous for Orochi, though. If it were that simple, surely someone else could have happened upon it before now? Also, you may want to ask Tess if she knows anything about the Abydos conspiracy. It's rather far-fetched, but really, what isn't? Best of luck, everyone. Call if something comes up. - M

To: Investigations, Shay From: Teresa Auerbach RE: Abydos Helicopter Now you're speaking my language. The temple where the Abydos Helicopter was found dates to the 19th dynasty. If we assume the carvings are a historical record (and true, but hey I used to pay my bills with conspiracy theories) then it fits the the time travel theory. Do we think Orochi could have sent equipment back? And do we know what kind of helicopters they use, and if they matche the Abydos inscription? Here's a picture for reference. upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/9/9d/Hieroglif_z_Abydos.jpg/300px-Hieroglif_z_Abydos.jpg~Tess

Just out of curiousity, I threw the number 1453767525 into google to see what I would get...turns out that's the ISBN number for H.G. Well's The Time Machine. Who knew the brass at Orochi had a sense of humor?

I don't know if this is relevant, but the theory posted about the incense material also being used as part of the mummification process is almost certainly correct in this case. The shape of the burner indicates a desire to trap and collect the resin that is the end result of burning sticks of ntyw (alternatively called nityew, or natyew. One of the fun things about Egyptian is that we don't always know what the proper pronunciation is. FUN FACT: Ramses and Moses are almost exactly the same name; Mses. The only difference is that, as Ramses had a Ra symbol as a prefex, later transliterators didn't feel the need to add a vowel between the M and the S.) Another fun fact; no one knows what ntyw is. Whatever plant it was made from (hypotheses include cypress trees, reeds, and several plants from the Anatolian peninsula), it almost certainly went extinct. If it has mystical properties, perhaps that would explain Orochi's interest in Time Travel? Or, at the very least, give them a side project. Again, these are just hypotheses.

Just a thought but has anyone checked out the Kingdom and that smuggling ring the Phoenicians were running? that burner had to come from somewhere, if I had to get a relic from a certain time period and location going directly to the source seems like a plan, whats the name of the contact man out there? Saïd or something?
