Now I understand that you don't really have much in regard to voice chat for the cabal, which is understandable considering that we are a RP cabal. However, for me personally, I've never been one to stop and chat in-game unless it is for RP. Most OOC stuff is discussed completely out of game in a voice chat program to keep everything separate and to help plan RPs out better. My idea is that we could set up a room for our cabal in Raidcall. It's completely free, and it has the versatility of Teamspeak without the hassle of buying a server. Plus, it would only be optional for people who prefer voice chat during gameplay. www.raidcall.com/v7/index.html

in the same boat as core really. besides, honestly I prefer the voices I imagined for everyone's char and once I hear the players voice a bit of that gets lost

Same here. I don't have a mic and I've never liked the sound of my own voice to be honest. I also consider voice chat to be splitting to the player base as you have people talking in voice and others in text and it makes the guild feel a bit 'smaller'.
Also, I like to imagine the characters with their own voices like sersi said.

It's a good idea! A lot of cabals generally use some kind of voice chat to coordinate dungeons and to just communicate with each other. I've actually never used raidcall so this is news to me. ^_^
But I'm of the same mind as everyone else. Being a mostly RP cabal, I like having the character's voice in my head when I read the things they say and do. I think it adds a lot to the interaction.

I like this idea. We'll need some form of voice chat if we want to better coordinate raids and the like. While I agree that hearing one another's voices might diminish some form of immersion, it will add a better planning and execution component to NMs and raids. EDIT: We could always talk like our characters. We'd just be a hop, skip, and a big foam sword away from LARPing at that point.

I suspect Sera isn't human... instead she is some sort of machine sent back from the future to slaughter everything in her path, become the agent of the antiswag and to kick Ken out of windows... >_>

I believe that NMs will be able to be coordinated the old-fashioned way. Hell, we can even RP in those; I've done it before. The real problem is the raids. I'm not saying that we're incapable, but it lessens the possibilities of wipes more often than not. Then again, we're not here to become super hardcore or anything. Just figured I'd throw in my buck fifty on it; from a raid leading perspective. Considering also that these are only going to be 10-man raids, it may not warrant voice chat ever; it was typically useful in wrangling 25+ mouth-breathers as opposed to 10 people who know what the fuck they're more than likely getting themselves into. xD

Completely indifferent. If we do end up doing voIP, I have a voice changer that can make me sound like Megatron, which will hopefully preserve any ideas of RP voices in people's heads as weird as that sounds~
