Online Employment Application:
Name (including aliases as appropriate): Carl "Stuckey" Weaver
Age/Gender: 32/Male
Position Desired: Field Investigation
Relevant Skills: Has learned to be good with a shotgun and discovered some blood magic abilities. His best asset is his mind, however. Since his induction into the Illuminati, Carl has adeptly handled many investigative cases. While fighting the horrors of the Secret World, quick thinking on his part has saved him from an early grave more than a few times.
Relevant Background Information:
An average kid from an average family in rural Southwest Michigan, Carl always had a vivid imagination and a passion for the written word. That passion carried him on through his formative years, which included being Salutatorian of his High School Class, and later earned him a Bachelor's degree in English. However, Carl soon learned that real life didn't appreciate a budding novelist the way the academic world did. He bounced around a few odd jobs around his hometown; paper mill worker, forklift jockey, data entry specialist. Eventually deciding that the lack of any publishers near him would cause his writing dreams to never take off, he took the plunge and moved to New York City. He loved wide-open spaces and hated urban sprawl, but it was here that he was sure to get his big break...
No sooner had he moved to New York than the dreams started coming to him. Dreams of darkness, horror, desperation, and death. Of all the genres he was interested in, becoming a horror writer in the vein of Stephen King or Dean Koontz hadn't been one of them. But the dreams....they rang true somehow. He finally decided to put pen to paper and write a novel based on the dreams. In his manuscript, a sweeping darkness came down upon a small New England town, bringing with it zombies and other monsters of unspeakable horror. In a few months, the task was done. Carl sent his manuscript to all the major publishers, who all promptly turned it down. Finally, he managed to get his work into print by a third-rate publisher.
Few people bought Carl's book, New England Fog. The damned newspaper critics trashed it as "formulaic slop" and "uninspired writing." Most copies of his book lay in the bargain bin at various retail chains. Carl was ready to give up on his dream.
However, one copy of the book landed in the hands of a high-ranking Illuminati. The Illuminati was stunned. "He has no knowledge of the Secret World, and yet he's somehow described part of it perfectly in these pages!" A memo was sent out. Discussions were had over the water cooler. It was brought up in a meeting. And the consensus was there; whoever this guy was, it couldn't be risked having him fall in the hands of the Templars or the Dragons. He would be led into the Illuminati, fooled into it if need be. Yes, he would serve us......whether he wanted to or not....
Contact Information: Has a landline phone to his New York apartment. His personal cel phone is an old flip-style phone that only does calls and texts. Didn't have a smartphone until issued one by the Illuminati. Has e-mail. Has a Facebook page with all of 40 friends. Does not have Twitter; being restricted to 140 characters is far too stifling for him.
Next-of-Kin (optional): Mother and Father, as well as a younger Brother who is married with a daughter.

1. How much experience do you have with roleplaying? Have you played other MMORPGs? There's no wrong answer here.
My first exposure to role-playing was as being a national leader in the online game "Nation-States." Did a significant amount of role-playing in "Star Trek Online" (none of which involved hot Vulcan love, I will add.)
2. What has brought your character to the group? Do you have any stories/ideas that you hope to develop for them as they progress through the game, and if so, what are they?
Being an ordinary guy thrown into extraordinary circumstances, Carl is trying to come to terms with his new reality and the hazards that lurk within. By applying to Aegir, part of him hopes to find the sense of community that has been missing in his life since he left small town, Michigan and came to New York City. He also still holds out hope that he'll eventually write the next great American novel, though between being under Illuminati control and fighting the demons of darkness he doesn't know how he'll accomplish it.
3a. Fill in the blank: If my character were to meet an Eldritch Horror From Beyond Space And Time, he/she would probably __________.
At first feel terror at what he beheld, close his eyes, find his inner determination, and face the abomination with a quiet resolve.
3b. Fill in the blank: If I were to meet an Eldritch Horror From Beyond Space And Time, I would probably __________.
Run for my life, gasping for breath, yelling, "Oh God, please don't kill me! Please don't kill me!"
4. How did you find out about us, and how would you like for us to contact you in-game?
Found out about Aegir through the Secret World Role-Play website. Feel free to send me a friend invite! I'm on the Leviathan dimension.
5. Have you ever wanted a chance to just say whatever you'd like to about yourself to a group of anonymous strangers over the internet? If so, here's your chance!
Umm.....I think cheese is one of mankind's greatest creations? Yeah, that sounded better in my head!
