Mr. Weaver, Ms. Auerbach, writing to tell you that there was an incident involving Ms. Rystaad in London last night. I do not have many details as I did not arrive until after most of it had occurred. It is, however, of a level of seriousness that I believe warrants that you both be informed. What information I have, I do not trust to email. Please contact Ms. Rystaad immediately for more information.

Well, this isn't how I wanted to start my day. I haven't even had my coffee yet. Can you elaborate on what you mean by "incident"? The implications range from "An assassin made an attempt on Ms. Rystaad's life" to "Shay took some bad shrooms and wandered Ealdwick naked proclaiming she that she was The Lizard Queen" Hopefully it falls somewhere between those two extremes, but it would be nice to know if I have to prepare a eulogy or stern lecture for Monday.
I have been assured that Ægir emails are well encrypted, so you shouldn't have too much to worry about if you'd care to elucidate. However, there is always my private line if you feel that you can't do so here. I will be busy for most of the day dealing with my transition to Co Head of the department. Gabe, Ken, please work with your departments to gather as much info as you can and send a report to me. I will interview Seanne as soon as I can get to her. Thank You

Ken, also. You don't have to worry about propriety. Shay plastered the event all over Twitter. So much for secrecy. I would really like a full report of what happened, and what we're planning to do about it.

In short, Miss Rystaad was assaulted in Ealdwic park by two armed individuals shortly after departing the Horned God. Said individuals identities were concealed by robes and masks; they have not yet been identified at this time. Fast acting AEgir personnel still in the area responded immediately to the incident, arriving moments before they attempted to bind and gag Miss Rystaad. A brief exchange of dialogue followed; empty threats on their part as well as the claims of how difficult it is to be able to get in touch with us.
When it was clear they no longer had any sort of upper hand whatsoever, anima based abilities and flashbang grenades were used as a distraction on their part to cover their escape. Miss Rystaad had suffered minor blows (related to their subdual attempts) but by the end of the incident, had remained only shaken. A self admitted Templar agent had witnessed the latter part of the exchange and approached us for more information. While she did mention a disdain for inter-faction politics, She seemed more interested in getting to the bottom of the attack and I agreed with her commentary that something like this happening "in their backyard" was inexcusable. I've forwarded her contact information (((and I'll be damned if I can remember her name... anyone else that caught it, jump on in!!))
At this time, security is monitoring and reviewing security camera footage of the park itself. I've managed to record a portion of the dialogue exchange and have also forwarded that to IT and security to be cleaned up with the hope voice recognition and active cell monitoring will find a match. We have a short list of names as possible leads that will be forwarded to Investigations. Miss Rystaad was put into protective custody in our corporate HQ for the evening, with additional security forces assigned to her when out in public as per executive personnel security procedures.

Thank you for you report Gabe. It was immensely helpful. I will be unable to make it to the office until later today. I will do my best to coordinate with Security and IT from here. I will interview Ms Rystaad later in an effort to get more details. I'll be in touch.
Carl? I don't know if this qualifies as a field op, but can you be on the ground for this while I'm occupied? Sorry to interrupt what was hopefully a pleasant evening for you. ~Tess

If there's ever been something where we need "all hands on deck", this is it. I'll report in to the office as soon as I can.
And on the contrary, if something like this comes up, by all means interrupt my personal pursuits. Text me, call me, send someone personally to get me; get my attention. This is far more important.

To: Security Department, Investigations From: Teresa Auerbach Subject: Incident Follow Up
Last night, while patrolling Ealdwic Park, agent Sylistra Erzaes encountered a woman matching the description of one of the attackers who attempted to kidnap CEO Seanne Rystaad on Saturday. Agent Erzaes engaged and called in back up. Chastity McKeogh, a known Templar agent and ally of Ægir Communications was the first to arrive on the scene. A standoff ensued until additional backup could be called in. Every available Ægir employee and ally in the area soon arrived on the scene, even the janitor. The suspect then surrendered herself into Templar custody. Ms. McKeogh has agreed to liaise with Ægir Investigations in the event that more information comes to light.
After interviewing Ms. Rystaad, encountering the suspect for myself, and upon hearing news of other kidnappings in Ealdwic Park it is my belief that Ms. Rystaad was not targeted specifically, but rather was the victim of circumstance. Neither attacker ever mentioned her by name, and no formal demands were made of her short of "coming with them". I do not believe that Ms. Rystaad is in any immediate danger of another kidnapping attempt. However I feel we should still keep an increased security presence around her for the time being. It is also my professional recommendation that she avoid walking through parks alone at night while inebriated.
As this case is now officially within Templar jurisdiction, Ægir will offer any assistance and information that we can, but this is no longer a priority investigation for our teams. I would personally like to thank Ms Erzaes and Ms McKeogh for their quick response and levelheadedness in dealing with last night's situation.
That is all
