James "DatFaceMan" Price
Age/Gender:
33/Male
Position Desired:
Espionage/Tech Heists
Relevant Skills:
-Survival and hunting/stealth skills credited to living in deep south seclusion for a good amount of time.
-Proficiency in firearms, specifically shotguns and rifles. I press my own ammo as a pastime.
-Expert in improvised munitions, IED's, zipguns, redneck engineering. If it exists, it can combust.
Relevant Background Information:
Hailing from rural north Florida, I spent most of my childhood fascinated with the concept of fire. My family moved into the seclusion of the Appalachians when I was 12 after several incidents involving a family blood feud centered around political holdings in the town. In 2000, the police from the town caught up with us. Most of us fled off into the woods in different directions. Time passes, and I found myself out of the woods and vagabonding on trains heading up and down the east coast, stealing and selling the contents of different shipments to earn a living. Eventually I settled down New York as a urban "hunter-gatherer", snatching things off of loading docks and reselling them down at the black market. Everything was rather mundane, until the day that I lifted a small airdrop looking crate that contained some kind of Orochi tech. Noone down in the MTA wanted anything to do with the crate, if anything they tried to avoid it. One of my usual buyers laughed at me for having it, stating that if I don't " dump that witchdoctor sh*t in the Hudson", I'll be gone in a week. For the longest time, I had that crate at my "stall" (a dirty corner in an abandon warehouse), up until a shady, well dressed character came about and bought it for a very, very healthy sum. He told me that if I could get him another crate like it by next week, he would pay me the same amount for it again. And that's exactly what I did. Fast forward a few years. That shady fellow turned out to be Illuminati, and sparing the details, I found myself "working" for Orochi by day, and working for the blues at night.
(Pardon the awkward pace of this. This is more of a synopsis, as I don't want to bother you all with a war-and-peace of a backstory/let it unfold IC)

1. How much experience do you have with roleplaying? Have you played other MMORPGs? There's no wrong answer here.
I've been RP'ing on and off for the last 10 years or so, the majority of which was Garrys mod. I played a few MMO's here and there, but always found myself back at Gmod as it had the best flexibility for, well everything. I've always been a fan of RP in games, as it allows for more in-depth, playerbased storytelling.
2. What has brought your character to the group? Do you have any stories/ideas that you hope to develop for them as they progress through the game, and if so, what are they?
James was originally drawn to the Illuminati as a method of getting money for a hot meal at the end of the day, but eventually got dug in deep into the organization as the master plan and ethics of the group grew on him. He wanted to join into the Ægir project as it might give him more opportunities than basic fieldwork and Orochi heists.
OOC'ly, in the past, I've worked in groups of 4 or 5 during an RP story arc as a supporting character group, and sometimes conspired with them to throw in a secondary plot twist here and there [with the gm's approval, ofcourse ]
3a. Fill in the blank: If my character were to meet an Eldritch Horror From Beyond Space And Time, he/she would probably __________.
Options
A) See if fire can kill it.
B) If fire cannot kill it, add more fire.
3b. Fill in the blank: If I were to meet an Eldritch Horror From Beyond Space And Time, I would probably __________.
See if the bartender slipped me anything in that last round. If not, attempt to run off and make it someone else's problem.
4. How did you find out about us, and how would you like for us to contact you in-game?
I found out about y'all after searching the fourms tsw-rp for an Illuminati group that wasn't all dried up, and it seemed like this one was doing pretty well as playerbase goes. Ontop of that, other groups just seemed to..... stern. Also, A purely rp focused group seems like it would be a lot of fun
5. Have you ever wanted a chance to just say whatever you'd like to about yourself to a group of anonymous strangers over the internet? If so, here's your chance!
