To: Kendall Loper From: Jean Martinique Subject: Letter of Resignation
Mr Loper, The time has come for me to leave my position as Chief of Security. This will not be a long goodbye. I hate self indulgent, congratulatory displays almost as much as I have grown to hate this company.
I came to this company to ensure it's stability during the transition following Solveig's death. It has been over a year since then and has become clear to me now that Ms Rystaad is firmly in control of this company and my services are no longer required. I have been offered a consultancy position for a company who's CEO isn't a petulant child that squanders vast amounts of company funding on vanity projects.
I have a recommendation for a successor: Victoria Vega. It is, of course, ultimately up to your discretion as Director of HR. However, I feel that in a security staff full of psychopathic killers, foul mouthed goons, and perfume soaked fops she stands head and shoulders above the rest as perfectly adequate.
Please try not to run this company into the ground in my absence. It would reflect poorly on my time here. Jean

To: Aegir_Communications_company wide From: Kendall Loper, Director, Human Resources Department Subject: Jean Martinique's resignation
As you are all no doubt aware, another Department head has resigned as of this morning. Jean Martinique's decision to leave us comes as no great surprise to many of us, however following so hard on the heels of Franc's departure I felt that I should address any fears that anyone might have.
First of all, there is not a mass exodus of Aegir corporate staff. Of our three departures, two of them were of the Solveig era, and Jenna is technically still a part of the Aegir family. It has only been a year since Seanne Rystaad took over the company, and such things are to be expected. And our extremely competent training programs have insured that, no matter who leaves, another can step into that place and keep the company running smoothly.
In keeping with Jean's wishes for a successor, I have appointed Ms. Victoria Vega as interim Head of Security. As many of you know, Seraphine Gabel had been acting as head for many months, but she does unfortunately have other responsibilities that preclude heading such a large enterprise as Aegir security. I hope that this will head off any rumors that we are displeased with Ms. Gabel's work; we hope she will continue to aid Ms. Vega in the challenges that their department will face in the coming month.
If any one has any questions concerning this matter, or any other personnel matter, please feel free to contact me via email or in person.
Kendall E. Loper Director, Human Resources, Aegir Communications
