I'm sure it's been pretty obvious that my activity in this game has been pretty sporadic in the last few weeks. So I thought I would take the time to at least explain myself a bit.
To be perfectly honest: I'm burnt out on TSW. I have nothing but love for the game: It was how I met all of you lovely people. But I've played TSW pretty much uninterrupted for about 9 months straight. If you do anything with that much zeal you're likely to get burned out on it.
I don't want this to turn in to a "What's wrong with TSW" or "Is AEgir Dying" type thread. TSW is a wonderful game with one of the best communities I've ever encountered. Not just in MMOs but in Video Gaming. But I've seen and done it all in the game, and I need to step away for a bit.
I want to be clear though: I'm not vanishing and I'm not abandoning TSW or AEgir. I just need some time away to recharge my batteries, hopefully in time for the release of Tokyo. I'll still hop on occasionally for RFG shows and big events or even just to say hi and I'll still be active on Twitter, but I just don't have the investment any more to take part in the day-to-day or any sort of prolonged RP or story telling.
Tess isn't gone from the world of TSW, she's just taking a much less active role.
I still check these forums daily. If any of you need to reach me for whatever reason you can do so here. And you'll still see me in game occasionally.
That's it I guess. That's the speech. I love you all and I want to thank you for being the best community of gamers I've had the privilege to be a part of.
