Background Data
Losha started life fairly normal. Just finished college and holding down a crappy nine to five job while looking for her dream job. As a young twenty something she was on a fast track to the most mundane life all of us enjoy. Even her choice of degrees was outright boring to most library science. Losha always had the heart of a fighter jumping at any chance to prove herself. But all her life had been relatively easy something she found almost like a curse. She would jump into something only to see any sort of risk or challenge fade away often by circumstance. There was an odd sort of luck in her life anytime she found her lust for a change of pace or a need for a new challenge things would come along to distract her. Just such luck brought an offer letter to work at a private library in New York. So private she could find almost nothing on it. While this worried her the letter came with a sizable check for 'moving expenses'. The check was from one of the biggest names around in data services. Losha packed her things headed off to the big apple. Settling in was quick she found she had been hand picked from a database of hundreds in her field. Her and a handful of others were working at cataloging research data. All of it was very black box they could not access the files directly and only ever knew anything by the odd labeling system that was in place. Over time Losha started to see patterns in the random letters and numbers of the labeling system. She was slowly drawn into the beautiful seemingly random chaos. She got a feel for how the system worked and would imagine that the labels were not random but just encoded. After a few years working at the black box library as they had come to call it she had a frightening revelation. She glimpsed an understanding of the labeling system and in that realized what they were doing. At first she just thought she was crazy and it was all in her head. But then she started to dig deep and she could come to no other conclusion things just lined up to well. They were cataloging and trafficking in sort of illegal research on the public. Mind control on a grand scale.
Losha was paralyzed, if it was true she had nowhere to run. While she thought about what she should do her life's devil luck made its move. The hit squad was quick and efficient as they normally are. The librarians did not stand a chance and the few guards were dead before any alarm could be raised. Blind luck had put Losha in the elevator down to the server room at the time of the attack. She had made her mind up to go down there and see if she could pull the plug on this project. She might not stop it but the loss of data would put the projects years behind. She had taken a fire-axe from one of the stair wells and was ready even if she had not completely worked out how to get out alive yet. She was shocked when a round came through the roof of he elevator car barely missing her. The access door flipped open and the car was soon filled in close quarters combat. She had never trained for this but Losha held her own until the car door opened at the sub basement of library and everyone spilled out. In the open she had the room needed to really swing the ax she had. Her heart was racing as she tried to fend off the attacker. In the dance of combat something clicked in her mind she could see pattens and quickly she let herself go following the flow as she saw it. The fight only lasted moments but it seemed to take ages for Losha. But a lucky blow to her attackers head and it was over. She stood there the victor, axe hefted up on her shoulder. She laughed out loud mostly in shock that she had just survived that. But that was short lived as the rest of the dead mans squad dropped into the elevator. All the luck in the world can not change fate was the last thought that popped into her head just before the round did.
When she woke up it was in a body bag...It was a bit of a shock of course just being dead and all. She started to try and find a way to open the bag. Muffled sounds came from around here and then a set of hands dragged the bag some distance. Light flooded in as the bag was thrown open and the sounds of many people readying weapons or just being shocked came from all around here. The only thing more awkward then trying to ask why you were in a body bag is also trying to explain to a group of people that just scooped your brains off the floor that no really you're okay. Sadly they did not really want to talk much and she quickly found her self blacked out. As far as Illuminati recruitment stories go Losha was gifted with a mighty odd one. It was months before they even let her out of a cell and there was the non stop testing and evaluations. In the end Losha was deemed more an asset then a threat and was inducted into formal training. Needless to say the simple librarian had a few issues adjusting especially when they were throwing around the term 'technically undead' in reference to her. They explained she was something that were calling an 'imbued agent' some otherworldly force had chosen her. From their studies and the models they ran it was determined it was of Nordic in origin. During training Losha learned to tap into her gift at pattern recognition in combat. She even opted to study some of the old Nordic ways for magic which she seemed to have a knack for now.
Currently she is a provisional member to the Illuminati and is under heavy watch and study. She has not learned fully why or how she ended up as she is now. But never one to turn down a challenge Losha has set her mind to uncovering that mystery.

Thanks for applying! We're a group of roleplayers who find MMORPGs more fun to play when the roles of our characters are more fully developed than a list of numbers to define their survivability and damage. Members of the group will be expected to play and converse in-character (IC) for group activities, using notation such as (( )) around text intended to be out-of-character (OOC) so that it's clearly recognizable. We're seeking players who are mature, low-drama, and interested in character development as well as game progression!
Please take a minute to look over our Rules And Tone page--there's not a lot of rules, but if you're part of the group, you'll be expected to follow the few rules that we've got while you're representing us with the group's handle.
To help us get a feel for who you are and what you'd like to get out of being part of the group, please answer the following questions:
1. How much experience do you have with roleplaying? Have you played other MMORPGs? There's no wrong answer here.
Years. I've been roleplaying online since ultima online was new. I've also been table top roleplaying longer.
2. What has brought your character to the group? Do you have any stories/ideas that you hope to develop for them as they progress through the game, and if so, what are they?
OOC wise Kami my spouse is already a member. IC wise it makes a really convent cover for Losha.
3a. Fill in the blank: If my character were to meet an Eldritch Horror From Beyond Space And Time, he/she would probably __________.
As H.P. Lovecraft as shown us I would most likely go mad and/or be eaten.
But for the lesser ones we will be encountering in TSW she has the training to remain calm. Then would most likely be forced to bash in what ever passes for a face because few of these things are willing to parley.
3b. Fill in the blank: If I were to meet an Eldritch Horror From Beyond Space And Time, I would probably __________.
Same as 3a. No one can really handle the full horror of anything lovecraftian.
4. How did you find out about us, and how would you like for us to contact you in-game?
As noted above my spouse already is a member here. And anyone can feel free to contact me OOC or IC in game any way the want to.
5. Have you ever wanted a chance to just say whatever you'd like to about yourself to a group of anonymous strangers over the internet? If so, here's your chance!
It is by will alone I set my mind in motion. It is by the juice of sapho that thoughts acquire speed, the lips acquire stains, the stains become a warning. It is by will alone I set my mind in motion.
