To: Amaryllis Wicker From: Teresa Auerbach Re: Grimoire
Hey Ammie, I'm stuck at the office all day so I can't tell you this in person, hopefully you check your email. I have some info for you regarding my request. After last night I needed to blow off some steam, so I went to my storage unit to play some music. I was crashing around on the drums and something didn't sound right. I took the kit apart and taped to the inside of the tom were copies of the grimoire pages we used to summon that demon years ago. It seems like Stacy, my old drummer, stashed them there sometime before the accident. I hadn't touched the drum kit since I put it in storage. It was Stacy's. Thankfully the pages photo copies, so I don't think there is any danger to them, but hopefully it will help us with our search.
I was a mess the other day when we went to Hell. I pissed myself Ammie, actually pissed myself, during the mission. If Sera and Syl weren't there I wold have frozen up completely. I haven't slept since then. I've been having nightmares. I keep seeing it. I feel like I'm regressing back to that scared girl who watched her friends get torn apart by that awful creature. I can't let that happen. I can't be a liability to my friends and teammates. I want to take care of this.
Thank you for helping me Ammie. You're a true friend. Sera is the only other person I've told. She wants to be there when we do the summoning. I imagine we might need some more backup, but let's try and leave the reason why out of it.
~Tess
P.S. I still haven't decided on a fetish to use for the ritual, but you can have my blood whenever you need it. Just be gentle in the taking of it.

((So, the idea is to go after the Lair Boss, Filth Vector. He fit the criteria I had set of: Not giant, looks demonic, and too tough to solo. Angel is already collecting the summoning fragments, and as soon as we have a group of people confirmed we can decide on a time that's best for everyone and go and kill it. Myself and Angel are going, I imagine Ammie too. If anyone else wants to come let me know))

((would, of course, love to tag along. Depending on how/if Tess is ICly recruiting, Al's always up for a spot of demonslaying. Not too sure any of my other arts would be of any help.))

Hey Tess. Your security guy brought me the envelope, and I've been looking over the pages and comparing them against what I know, and they're turning out to be quite revelatory. Further research has allowed me to put together some useful information. I've located a suitable leyline configuration for a proper binding circle in the Savage Coast of Maine, and sent my findings on to Sera so that her team can track down the key summoning elements from the surrounding area. I'm opting for an area-containment Binding, but the ritual of Destruction will not allow me to construct anything beyond a basic Ward, so - we'll have to fight it and kill its physical form first, which won't be easy. I'll go, but we'll need four or five at least. Five would be best, for obvious reasons.
For closure, I thought you might want to know what happened that day - I'm sure it's been nothing but confusion your whole life. As badly as things went for you, they could have gone much, much worse. From the invocation rituals that your friends penned down, it looks like the original ritual master was trying to summon for vengeance and power - typical youth - and went for the first big name he could find. Without babbling on about hierarchies, watchtowers, and subaethyrs, the Summoning circle is keyed with primary enochian correspondences for general summoning, not for a specific entity. Think of it like aiming a shotgun to hit something ten meters away. This little mis-step saved a lot of lives, because the Bindings that were used were keyed directly to a marquis of hell called Andras who is very well known for killing lots of humans, and particularly those who summon him. If the summoning circle had been better, the government would have had to get involved. The summoning missed, though, and instead pulled through one of his lieutenants whose name I won't write here. Similar in philosophy, but vastly inferior of power.
One thing that I found interesting was that your name was scratched into the warding system. it's honestly about the only concrete thing in the whole ritual. Whomever prepared this ritual made damn sure that -you- would survive. It can hunt you, play with you, definitely haunt your dreams, and maybe even wound you, but it can never kill you. It's a decent technique, and I wonder where they learned it. Certainly not from the same books as the rest of it - this was additional research.
By the time you read this email, I will be close to completing the array we will use for the ritual of destruction. As I said before, I'll have to draw the system in your blood, so I'll need about a pint of it, no big deal. The object you give up will need to be a decent strength, and I'd say that for the best effect you need to have treasured it for no less than ten years. The object needs to evoke a strong -positive- emotion. The object, and the memories associated with it, will be lost to you once this is all over - I intend to basically negate the demon's "heart" with it, which will erase both things from existence. It's a high price to pay, I know, but there are not too many options when you intend to permanently kill a demon.
Also - you need to know that you'll probably come onto Andras' radar after this. He's way too busy for that to be particularly dangerous, unless you piss on his shoe again, but you will need to be very respectful of ravens for the rest of your life.
I'm glad I could help you with this. I'll be there every step of the way.

Thanks for the quick reply. It means a lot to me that you did the extra leg work. I'm surprised about my name being in the wards, all this time I've been living with the guilt of running and leaving my friends to die. It's a small relief knowing that I lived for a reason. Stacy and I were...more than close, so it's comforting to know that she was looking out for me, even then.
I'll make some calls to security and see if I can assemble a team. Maybe get some outside contractors to help out, off the record. As soon as we've got a team together I'll give the word.
Thank you Ammie, thank you so much. Just this small bit of info has brought an immesurable amount of closure to me.

A lot of it's horribly inaccurate, but sometimes...I wonder how amateurs, wanna-be's, and hedge magicians haven't already destroyed the world. You can't imagine how much harder it was to find anything about the 72 Spirits of Solomon in the 80's. www.occultopedia.com/a/andras.htm

To: Security Department From: Teresa Auerbach RE: Backup
Tess here. I'm looking for some assistance on a mission. I'm going to be summoning a demon in an effort to destroy it's soul. This is obviously very dangerous so I'll be needing backup. Amaryllis Wicker will be coming along as an infernal consultant. Agent Seraphine Gabel will be providing combat support. I'm looking for two more agents to help with any possible fighting. This is not an officially sanctioned mission so you will not be compensated for your work. This is personal and I'm asking for a favor, a favor I will gladly repay. I don't want to explain any more than that, but some of you might be interested in destroying a demon permanently. Thank you in advance.

In hell, this kind of thing could almost be considered a sign of strength and respect, and it won't be considered personal unless you plan on killing any more of his subordinates. Do mind that bit I said about the ravens, though. You will want to like ravens from now on - some demons take up the strangest causes, and he likes to see ravens treated well. Maybe they remind him of his mum. -Ammie

(( Great! Thanks Angel! I was thinking we could do this on Sunday? In lieu of, or in addition to, our usual Sunday dungeoneering? I work until 3pm so maybe 5pm PST? I'm flexible with the day/time since you're all being so nice helping me tell my story))

((Since Angel's done all the heavy lifting, this should take about ten minutes of walking/fighting plus whatever for RP. Should be easy to do anytime we've got 5.))

((I made sure to check the summoning location within the lair while I was there, technically it can be reached without fighting the lair monsters but it might make things a bit more climatic fighting our way there rather than just entering, killing it, talking and then leaving))
