Y'know, a decade ago I would have said it was impossible for this show to have any real potential. A decade ago I would have laughed if you'd said that Marvel was going to launch a project of such extraordinary ambition as the five Phase 1 movies, and would have come up with fifteen cynical reasons why The Avengers would end up being a huge letdown. And (freshly heartbroken over Firefly), I would have thought you were fucking with me if you'd told me that Joss Whedon would be chosen for it, and how he would then come to be widely recognized as the master of ensemble screenwriting we Browncoats knew him to be.
I really can't go into this TV show with any expectations other than a cautious optimism. My bitter preconceptions which metastasized out of a lifetime of watching Hollywood get shit wrong.....Are not kicking in, for once. So - let us see what great adventure the Son of Cole has in store!
At least I still have the Dark Tower film/tv/whatevertravesty project, into which I may lump all of my remaining dread and doomsaying. At least with the Dark Tower there's the obvious excuse of being almost impossible to get it right. BUT. I swear to any five gods that if they fuck up Ender's Game, I'm gonna be one suuuurly geek.

Yay! We had to get through Twilight, Harry Potter and Hunger Games, but we're finally to the stories I like!

Six episodes in and I'm loving this show, it's like getting a small bit of the Avengers universe on a weekly basis. So far I think every episode has been better than the last, and it's a treat seeing the actors finding their characters and starting to develop their on-screen chemistry. That said, I must confess that the parallels between Phil Coulson and Carl Weaver are a little scary. -They're both generally mild-mannered and soft-spoken. -They both wear suits on field operations. -They both own Corvettes. -They both have an appreciation for older things. -They're both surrounded by generally younger coworkers. -And they've both been accused of being in a mid-life crisis. (Though in Coulson's case, getting impaled by a Norse God is a pretty good reason to have one. )

Agents of Shield is basically Anna and Ashe's Tuesday nights accounted for (or whatever day they are shown in US)

I was really disappointed when in the first episode the super powered guy they find was NOT Luke Cage.
Then Netflix announced that they are making a Luke Cage/Iron Fist web series. I am no longer disappoint
