Now that I've drawn the Necromancer story arc to a close, I just wanted to thank everyone for reading. I never suspected it would get so many views, or that I would get all the PMs about it; it was mostly a way for me to RP in the wee wee hours when everyone had gone to bed but I still had the itch. I honestly didn't expect a lot of folks to read it, so to those of you who did, thank you!
I'm planning on starting the next story arc in the next couple days. However, I just wanted to warn people that this part of the story is going to be driven primarily through IC interaction with others. I feel like I should have very little control over this part of the story, since my character has so little control. Spei and Ammie have already given their consent, but I just wanted to ask you all to PLEASE TELL ME if you don't want your characters IC actions to appear. I am doing this for fun, and it's no fun if I'm stepping on peoples toes. I will try to remember to ask your permission before I put something in, but I am terribly forgetful, so I wanted to give folks a chance to opt out.
Again, thanks to everyone. Aegir is an amazing community and I'm glad to be a part of it!

Just wanted to give a shout out to Ammie; about 3/4 of the story was email RP between the two of us. There's always a risk when adding others to your story that you will ascribe to their characters thoughts or traits that the player never intended; so, to avoid this, I basically just cut and paste. Thanks, Ammie!

And so, Ken's story has come to an end. I'd like to thank you all for reading it and being so overwhelmingly positive.
Now, when I say that Ken's story has come to an end, the reaction I've been getting is NOOOOOO, what will I read? Well, I may pop a short story up once in a while, but nothing on so grand a scale as Ken's story, not for a bit, anyway. I mean, Ken's story is, I kid you not, more than 34,000 words from beginning to end, and over 60 pages when copy/pasted onto Word. That's not Forum Fiction, that's the first draft of, at the very least, a novella. And I think I should put that creative energy to another use.
Those of you who talk to me most know that I have been working on a novel off and on, but six months ago I hit a writers block and have been letting it sit idle. I kind of felt like maybe writing isn't what I should be doing. But the words of encouragement and praise that I've gotten for Ken's story have convinced me that I need to go back to it. It's at 26,000 words at the moment, but still in very early rough draft. I don't know if it's the sort of story that will sell; it's a zombie type book, but the story itself takes place several generations after the event, and explores what cultural mores have grown up in a world after the apocalypse. But I've decided that I owe it to myself to try again.
One last time, I want to THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for reading and for all your kind words. Huggles for everyone, with a double dose for Sera!

Thank you for writing it! It's been lots o fun to read. And I know what you mean about giving up. Sometimes a short PM from a friend saying that they've enjoyed something means so much to keep a writer going. It's the difference between feeling like your effort is appreciated and feeling like you're just wasting time. You have definitely not been wasting time. I'm glad to hear that others have been telling you so too. Go give yourself that extra chance.
