So we officially disbanded AEgir Communications today. Kind of sad to see it go but it was time to say our goodbyes. The Cabal itself had been sort of languishing for a while, with only a handful of active members and no Cabal-Centric RP for quite some time. We've got a new cabal in the works to take AEgir's place. Something a little smaller in scope and a little less unwieldy. Some familiar faces, some new ones. Brand new direction. I think we'll be able to tell a lot more interesting and diverse stories now.
I just wanted to add: AEgir was a group very near and dear to my heart, and this wasn't a decision made at the spur of the moment or without a lengthy discussion with everyone still involved with the cabal.
Some of my best RP and some RL friendships have come out of my 1 year+ involvement with AEgir, and I have nothing but fond memories of the group. But all good things as they say, must come to an end.
I wanted to take the time to thank everyone who helped shape the story and direction of this great cabal. This was certainly a unique and fun experience for me, and I hope it was for everyone else who was involved in the stories we crafted over the nearly 2 years of AEgir's existence.
I want to thank Sersi, Fitz, and Yas for laying the foundations of AEgir for all of us to enjoy. I want to thank the people who have stepped up to the officer ranks: Stuckey, Aleryn, Caonedh, Kovergirl.
And of course all the members who have contributed so much to all of our story lines. You are too numerous to name here, but I want to say thank you to you all.
It's my hope that this website will stay as an archive of all the great times we've had here.
Thank you all so much.
